Dr Louis van Oudenhove’s is a board-certified specialist in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, with a unique and extensive expertise in breast reconstruction. He is a proud Cape Town native who has faithfully served his city with a local practice that he oversees and manages. Dr. Oudenhove has a long history of clinical achievement and takes pride in delivering the best possible care and the highest level of commitment and service to his clients.
Dr Louis van Oudenhove received his early education at the University of Cape Town, graduating with an M.B.Ch.B in 1987. He received formal training in General Surgery, Orthopaedic Surgery, Urology, and Trauma Surgery at various teaching hospitals in London and Groote Schuur Hospital over the next several years. He then graduated at the Fellowship of the College of Surgeons of South Africa: FCS(SA) in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery from the Groote Schuur Hospital in 1989. (Cape Town).
Over the next 14 years, he served as a part-time consultant plastic surgeon at Cape Town's prestigious 2 Military Hospital. He went into private practice in 1993, whilst still working as a part-time specialist in congenital ear deformity repair at the Red Cross Children's Hospital and, after 1995, as a consultant at Groote Schuur Hospital's Malignant Melanoma Clinic.
